Bobby Gideon has served in law enforcement for over 35 years. He oversees Quality Control and Employee Training for AEPS. He is certified by the Texas Private Security Bureau as a Level III Security Officer/Classroom Trainer/Firearms Trainer and a Level IV Personal Protection Officer/Trainer. He is certified by the Texas License to Carry (LTC) Bureau as an LTC Firearms Instructor, LTC First Responder Instructor, and LTC Online Instructor. Mr. Gideon is a respected Law Enforcement Leader with experience motivating, training, and managing high-performing police officers and security guard teams. He is proficient in developing & delivering training for law enforcement and security personnel. He oversees the AEPS Learning Management System (LMS) hosting classes in Private Security Training; Officer Safety; Firearms Training and Human Resource Training.
Mr. Gideon retired after 25 years from Austin Community College, Austin, Texas as an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Criminal Justice Department, Academic Alternative Program. He held that position since January 1995. Mr. Gideon graduated from the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) State Trooper Academy A-1981 and served in the Texas Highway Patrol Service and Training Division until 2007. Mr. Gideon served with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) Internal Affairs Division and Training Division, retiring in 2011. Mr. Gideon served at the University of Texas System with the Office of the Director of Police as an Inspector II. Mr. Gideon came to American Eagle Protective Services in 2014.
Mr. Gideon is a Retired Special Agent with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission and has a current Master Peace Officer license as a Texas Peace Officer. He has a B.S. degree in Industrial Education from Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas.
