NWDTP Security Training

This training is designed to provide improved Screener training and increase the overall proficiency of screeners throughout the contract security program.

All positions on the screening station team are equally important.

The four (4) levels of security include, but, not limited to the following:

1. Security Entry Control
2. X-ray Machine
3. Walk-Through Metal Detector (WTMD)
4. Hand Held Metal Detector (HHMD)

All members must be vigilant to threats as they perform their individual and collective duties.

There is legal and policy guidance associated with screening of persons entering federal facilities.

However, there should be no more important guidance than experience and that instinct that drives action to protect the facility and occupants.

The primary purpose of an administrative inspection is for firearms, explosives and other dangerous weapons.

After completion of this program the student will be able to demonstrate the ability to check and verify identification and detect illegal and prohibited items.
